Dina is originally from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she moved in Dix Hills on Long Island just before she finished her senior year. She has two siblings, one of whom is older, named Gregory and a younger one called Evan. She began her career in entertainment when she was nine years old and did modeling. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Others who have received this education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as others. Her first role was in Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to move from Beverly Hills to Los Angeles. After securing the lead role for Johnny Mnemonic where she did all of the stunts herself, she positioned her self as an actor that is physically fit. It was through the talent agent that was Matt LeBlanc that she was successful in securing a regular role in the TV show Friends.
