Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher was born March 17, 1988. The name she is given is Grimes. [2][3] Early work has been classified as "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4which draws influences from electronic, hip-hop, and rock. Many of her lyrics touch the themes of science fiction as well as feminist issues. There have been five albums. Grimes was raised in Vancouver in the early 1990s, before she moved to Montreal around 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion during the 2000s. Two albums were released by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa in the year 2010. The following year, she joined 4AD and rose to prominence with the release of their third studio album Visions, in 2012. Visions comprises the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and was awarded the Canadian music industry Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, came out in 2015. Numerous publications praised it as the most successful album. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album. In addition to the music industry, Grimes had a voice performance in the action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the music competition game show Alter Ego.
